Portland, Ore. – October 26, 2015 – Pear Bureau Northwest, the non-profit marketing organization that represents the 1,600 pear growers of Oregon and Washington (home to 84% of the U.S. fresh pear crop), is pleased to announce that Lynsey Kennedy, the organization’s international marketing manager, is being recognized as one of the produce industry’s top young leaders.

WEGMANS NAMED PEAR RETAILER OF THE YEAR

Portland, Ore. (October 24, 2015) – On behalf of the 1,600 fresh pear growers of Washington and Oregon, Pear Bureau Northwest names Wegmans Food Markets the 2015 Pear Retailer of the Year for their merchandising performance and sales increase in the pear category.

USA PEARS POSITIONED PERFECTLY FOR WHOLESOME SNACKING

PORTLAND, Ore. – October 6 2015 – Harvest is nearing completion for the Northwest pear growers of Washington and Oregon. Over the next months, ten pear varieties will be at their peak, putting a fresh crop of Northwest-grown pears within easy reach now through next spring.
